Are you contemplating homeschooling your kids but you feel like you have no idea how to start? Yep, that was me, not that long ago. I’m here to tell you, you can do it!
Are you trying to work and homeschool at the same time? I’ve been there. You can do it!
Are you thinking about quitting your job to homeschool but not sure you can? I’ve been there, too. You can do it!
Just one year ago I, too, was asking myself all of these questions and trying to figure it all out after we decided last-minute to homeschool our oldest son before he entered Kindergarten. I had a lot of doubts, fears, and questions, but I knew I would hold true to my convictions and step off the beaten path.
If you are finding yourself in this place, near the beginning of a homeschooling journey, I am here for you! I am learning as I go, and taking a step of faith day-by-day. It is my hope to encourage others who find themselves in a similar place, and to learn something from each other.
I live in Minnesota with my handsome, bearded husband and two kids, ages seven and five. And Toby, our Shih Tzu. I love to make the most of my husband’s hard-earned money by doing a lot of DIY projects around out fixer-upper lake home, and thrift shopping. I’m a former coffee-holic and sugar-addict, and love to share the health benefits I’ve seen in my life by now following a caffeine-free, and low-carb, ketogenic diet. (I’m talking to you, PMS!)
Sometimes I step back and look at my life, having quit a great job, homeschooling our kids, quitting my much-loved coffee habit, and eating a ketogenic diet, and realize a lot of my family and friends think I’ve lost my mind. But then again, I wouldn’t trade our new lifestyle for anything! We have a new peace, flexibility, and purpose in our family. And that, my friends, is worth any sacrifice.
Please follow me on the unbeaten path!
